The Core Method: Core Foundations for Studios/Gyms

This 2 hour workshop is designed for gyms/studios who want to deepen their understanding of the core and pelvic floor and learn how to better support clients through intentional movement, breath, and cueing.

Participants will gain a practical understanding of core and pelvic floor anatomy and physiology, including how these systems function together during movement, breathing, lifting, and exercise. We will explore how to properly engage the deep core system, common compensatory patterns seen in group fitness settings, and how alignment and breath mechanics influence pelvic floor health.

Topics covered include:
• Overview of core and pelvic floor anatomy and physiology
• Understanding pressure management and breath mechanics
• How to properly engage the core during movement
• Common mistakes and compensations in yoga and Pilates classes
• Exercise and pose modifications to better support the core and pelvic floor

This workshop combines education with movement-based application so instructors leave feeling confident integrating these concepts directly into their teaching.

This training can be offered as:
• A standalone 2-hour workshop facilitated at your gym/studio
• An addition to yoga, pilates teacher training programs
